DEA Bulletin Suggests Elements Of A Physician Patient Relationship
The DEA has issued a bulletin regarding controlled substances. The DEA bulletin seems to say as long as the doctor: (a) takes a medical history; (b) listens to the patient’s complaints; and, (c) the medication prescribed is logically relevant to the complaint, that is all that is necessary.
This is not that complicated. Sadly, prosecutors cannot seem to wrap their brain around it…
